Poland’s PM accuses Belarus of “terrorism”

Poland Belarus

This follows accusations against Russian President Vladimir Putin blaming him of also being behind the migrant surge

The Prime Minister of Poland has called out the government of Belarus once again, saying it is guilty of committing “terrorism” over its role in the ongoing border crisis between the two nations.

This follows reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin is also behind the surge in migrants.

The PM says it is “clear that what we are confronted with here is a demonstration of state terrorism”.

The comment comes as thousands of migrants remain stuck at the border between Belarus and Poland, freezing and attempting to find salvation within the E-U.

Belarus’ controversial leader, Alexander Lukashenko is continuing to deny claims that his government is purposely sending people to the border in revenge for recently-imposed sanctions by the European Union.

It’s believed the migrants are mostly from the Middle East, and they are camping in tents just inside Belarus with guards on either side.

Poland’s PM says further sanctions are now “on the table” and his country “must now co-ordinate with member states to identify most efficient tools”.

This follows the President of the EU Commission saying that sanctions would be widened against Belarus next week.
