Abortion fight: Florida governor suspends elected prosecutor

Controversial state gov. Ron DeSantis has suspended Tampa’s elected prosecutor, Andrew Warren, for his stance on abortion and transgender people

Warren openly admitted he would not use his office to punish anyone who seeks or provides abortions or gender affirming treatment.

It comes as Desantis continues his anti-transgender crusade, vowing to do whatever it takes to win.

The Republican also says he will “aggressively prosecute people who seek abortions in Florida.”

The move has sparked widespread concerns with Democrats labelling him a “bully” and “dictator”
