Elon Musk says his Starlink satellite network is now focused on improving the experience for gaming and streaming.

The tech billionaire launched Starlink as an independent network of satellites, to bring fast internet access across the globe.

Retweeting a user’s post on his platform X, Musk says “SpaceX is focused on making Starlink great for gaming & streaming!”

He went on to boast about Starlink’s improvements when it comes to reducing latency times for streaming.

“Significant improvements have been made to Starlink. Latency (ping) & many more to come. Target is <20ms.”

Target latency is the total time that PWXPC takes to extract change data from the change stream and that the PowerCenter Integration Service takes to apply that data to the targets.

If this processing occurs quickly, target latency is low.

Europe is entering a new spaceflight era as the Ariane 64 prepares for its maiden launch from French Guiana. The rocket, the most powerful ever developed in Europe, features four boosters and is capable of delivering more than 20 tonnes into low Earth orbit.

The launch window opens at 4:45 p.m. UTC and closes at 5:13 p.m. UTC, with the mission expected to last one hour and 54 minutes. During the flight, satellites will be deployed in pairs, marking a critical technical milestone for Europe’s space ambitions.

This first flight is a major test for the Ariane 6 program, setting the tone for future commercial and institutional launches from Europe’s space sector.
