Prince William has admitted walking behind Queen Elizabeth’s coffin from Buckingham Palace ‘brought back a few memories’ of his late mother’s funeral

In September 1997, both William and his brother Harry processed behind Diana’s coffin, an image which has been forever etched in the minds of millions right around the world

Speaking to mourners during a visit to Sandringham House, the new Prince of Wales says the event was “challenging”.

Harry addressed this moment during a recent interview with Newsweek, where he says “I don’t think any child should be asked to do that, under any circumstances. I don’t think it would happen today.”
