In Short

Samsung’s new Bespoke AI Jet Ultra vacuum features an LCD display for calls and texts, along with strong suction and battery life.

The company is also enhancing its other appliances, like washers and smart fridges, with touchscreen interfaces and AI integration, although concerns about screen longevity and ads remain unaddressed.

Samsung has introduced a new feature in its Bespoke AI Jet Ultra cordless stick vacuum.

Priced at $1,099, this model includes an LCD display control panel that alerts users to incoming phone calls and text messages while vacuuming.

The device offers standard features like a 100-minute battery life and 400AW suction power, along with an auto-empty charging station.

In addition, Samsung has upgraded its washers and dryers, with the new Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo washer/dryer priced at $3,099. This model has a 7-inch touchscreen that allows users to answer phone calls directly.

Bespoke AI

Samsung is expanding this capability across its Bespoke AI line, which includes new smart fridges and wall ovens showcased at CES.

The AI Home terminology refers to the touchscreen interfaces found in these products, integrating features like weather, music, or smart home controls.

Samsung’s Family Hub smart fridge is available with a smaller screen, which still connects to apps and services.

The AI integration allows users to match recipes to available ingredients and send cooking instructions to the oven, enhancing convenience within the home.

Through its SmartThings platform, users can receive alerts from their smart home systems, further integrating technology into daily life.

However, concerns regarding the longevity and potential obsolescence of these screens have been raised, alongside worries about possible ad displays. Samsung has yet to address these concerns publicly.

Elon Musk shifts SpaceX focus from Mars to a 2027 Moon landing, merging with xAI for AI satellite networks.

Elon Musk has set his sights closer to home—literally. SpaceX is now prioritizing the creation of a self-sustaining city on the Moon within the next decade. The ambitious plan marks a major shift from previous Mars-focused strategies, aiming for an uncrewed Starship landing as early as 2027 to support NASA’s Artemis program.

This pivot comes as SpaceX merges with Musk’s xAI, combining the companies into a massive $1.25 trillion valuation. Musk believes the Moon offers practical advantages for launches, making it a more strategic stepping stone for humanity’s future in space.

Alongside lunar ambitions, SpaceX is also developing satellite networks to back AI technologies in orbit. Despite the excitement, NASA’s Artemis program has faced delays, pushing the first crewed lunar flight to March due to technical issues.

Anthropic’s Claude AI now manages coding tasks, boosting productivity by 50% as engineers shift to oversight roles.

Anthropic has confirmed that its AI, Claude, now handles almost all coding tasks at the company. Engineers are shifting from writing code to oversight and planning, marking a major change in how software development teams operate.

Users report a productivity boost of 50 percent since implementing Claude, highlighting the potential of AI to reshape workflows and day-to-day operations. The shift raises questions about the balance between human oversight and automated code generation.

The move has also affected markets, with shares of Indian IT services companies falling as investors assess the impact on traditional tech roles. Industry leaders stress that while AI can generate code, human input remains crucial for design, review, and strategic decision-making.
