North Korea’s military presence adds new risks to Ukraine conflict

U.S. pledges no limits on weapons for Ukraine

The Pentagon says it won’t restrict Ukraine’s use of U.S. weapons, even as North Korean troops head toward the Russian front.

NATO reports that North Korean military units are now stationed in Russia’s Kursk region, fuelling Western fears of escalation.

With 10,000 North Korean troops reportedly deployed to eastern Russia, experts worry this could shore up Russia’s battlefield losses.

NATO’s Secretary-General called the Russia-North Korea alliance a serious threat to both Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific security.

President Biden agreed, saying the developments in eastern Europe are “very dangerous.”

The Pentagon believes some North Korean soldiers are already on the move near Ukraine’s border, possibly supporting combat operations.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister says Kyiv has been warning allies about this threat for weeks.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon remains cautious, noting they don’t yet have full details on the North Korean troop movements.

With tensions rising on both sides, the international spotlight is firmly back on Ukraine.

Trump claims Iran’s military largely neutralized; tensions rise with attacks threatening air travel and oil shipping.

President Trump says Iran’s military capability has been largely neutralised, including its navy and air force, as the conflict in the Middle East intensifies. Iranian attacks have threatened commercial air travel and oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of wider economic fallout.

The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh has faced two attacks, while Gulf states worked to intercept further Iranian strikes. Officials report six U.S. troops killed and more than 700 deaths inside Iran as the exchange of fire escalates.

With global markets watching closely, the region remains on edge as military and diplomatic tensions show no signs of easing.
