NEW EMAILS: Trump pressured DOJ to challenge election results

Published

on

Details have emerged showing the pressure placed on the U.S Department of Justice by Donald Trump to investigate the 2020 Presidential election.

Emails released by Democrats show how Trump’s White House assistant, Chief of Staff, and other allies were pushing the DOJ to investigate allegations of voter fraud.

On December 14, Trump’s assistant sent the DOJ a document claiming to show fraud in Michigan.

After reviewing these claims, the Attorney General at the time publically denied that there had been any wrongdoing.

Less than one hour later, Trump used his Twitter account to announce that the Attorney General would be leaving his position at the department…

These details follow reports from earlier this month which showed how the top White House aid was pressuring the DOJ to investigate the claims “for Trump’s benefit”.
