Flash flood causes chaos in Grand Canyon

Flash flood in Grand Canyon leaves 15 missing, damages infrastructure and prompts evacuation of over 62 hikers

A flash flood has hit Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, possibly leaving around 15 people missing.

The flood damaged footbridges and cut off hiker access in the Bright Angel Canyon and Phantom Ranch area.

Over 62 people were evacuated and hikers were airlifted to safety.
