The White House has revealed that America will begin sharing AstraZeneca doses with other nations within the next few months.
Press Secretary Jen Psaki says “the Biden administration is looking at options to share American-made AstraZeneca vaccine doses”
The decision follows the US currently stockpiling tens of millions of doses of the jab – which is yet to be granted approval by the country’s FDA.
The White House says “given the strong portfolio of vaccines that the United States has already authorized, it does not need to use AstraZeneca in its fight against Covid”.
US will "urgently deploy" a strike team to India to work with India's public experts on laboratory services, epidemiology, modeling of the disease, infection prevention, vaccine rollout, a senior Biden admin official told reporters on a press call.
