White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is officially changing pace, with reports she will head to the news network MSNBC in May.

This comes as Psaki takes a break from her regular press briefing duties due to a Covid-19 diagnosis.

With Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also out with the virus, White House communications director Kate Bedingfield stepping up.

Many are viewing this as an opportunity for Bedingfield to audition for the posting.

Psaki declined to comment on the rumours of her new position… saying she currently has “nothing to confirm about my length of public service, or planned service”.

She also wouldn’t be the first official to leave the White House for MSNBC., with a former spokesperson for Vice President Harris hired as a host for a new weekend program.

The Press Sec added her focus “continues to be speaking on behalf of the president”.
