Trump’s first day: fires 1000 staff, reverses Biden’s policies, cracks down on immigration, and forms new government department.

Donald Trump initiated his presidency by firing around 1000 staff members who do not align with his agenda.

Among those dismissed was a celebrity chef from a government taskforce, who chose not to open a restaurant in Trump’s Tower due to disagreements over immigration policies.

On the same day, Trump launched a crackdown on illegal immigration, which may involve raids in major urban areas.

He also revoked 78 policies established by Joe Biden and signed roughly 200 executive actions, memorandums, and proclamations within his first day in office.

One significant move was the establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency, which is proposed to be led by Elon Musk, although it is currently a temporary organisation pending Congressional approval.

Trump expressed his belief in only two genders and granted pardons to about 1500 individuals associated with the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol.
