Russian forces have been bombarding the eastern Donetsk region of Ukraine
Moscow has carried out 23 attacks using rocket launchers.
The attacks focused on the Bakhmut and the Kharkiv regions.
The Ukrainian military also revealed Russia used fighter jets to strike at defences.
In southern Ukraine, the city of Kherson and 14 other settlements came under enemy fire.
In his evening address, Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky praised the efforts of his people, for restoring power quickly to the regions.
