Putin signals end of war

Russian President Vladimir Putin says he wants an end to the war in Ukraine and that this would inevitably involve a diplomatic solution.

Putin made the comments a day after U.S. President Joe Biden hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in the White House and promised him continued and unwavering U.S. support.

But the White House isn’t getting hopes up – John Kirby said Putin has “shown absolutely zero indication he’s willing to negotiate” an end to the war.

Meanwhile Republicans are defending their stance on Ukraine, calling into question how much money the U.S. is willing to spend.
