Malaysia’s Court of Appeal has granted former Prime Minister Najeeb Razak a temporary release to visit Singapore.

The Former PM was convicted on political corruption, and money laundering charges last year, and was sentenced to 12 years’ jail.

Najeeb Razak’s case was linked to a multi-billion-dollar scandal at a state fund.

Police raids found millions of dollars worth of cash, jewellery and luxury handbags in his home.

He has denied wrongdoing and is out on bail pending an appeal.

Razak will travel to Singapore to be with his daughter, who is expected to give birth in the next month.
