More details emerge into kidnapping and search for four Americans in Mexico

Legislation introduced by the GOP to allow the military to take action to fight drug cartels at America’s southern border

More information is being released on the deadly Mexico kidnapping of four Americans.

Two American survivors – LaTavia Washington McGee and Eric Williams are being treated in a United States hospital, as the bodies of the two who were killed – Shaeed Woodard and Zindell Brown are being examined.

The group of friends traveled from South Carolina so one of them – a mother of six – could undergo a medical procedure across the border when they were captured at gunpoint, placed in a vehicle, and taken from the scene by armed men in the border city.

A U.S. official said investigators believe a Mexican cartel likely mistook them for Haitian drug smugglers.

Republicans announced a plan to combat the violent and illegal activity of several drug cartels by designating them terrorist organisations and allowing the military to take action to fight the cartels.

According to statistics, 200 Americans die every day from fentanyl overdose and the crisis is receiving attention in Washington D.C.

On Capitol Hill, emotional testimony was recently given from families who lost loved ones to fentanyl poisoning.

Now, it’s up to the Biden Administration to see if they will secure America’s southern border and if U.S. President Joe Biden will sign the legislation if it’s passed by Congress.

Australia’s multimillion-dollar campaign to attract Hollywood productions to its shores appears to be paying off.

The allure of Australia lies not only in its picturesque locations but also in its competitive financial incentives.

The government offers generous rebates and tax breaks to international productions, making it an attractive proposition for filmmakers looking to maximise their budgets.

Despite the recent intake of Hollywood productions down under such as ‘The Fall Guy’ and ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’, Aussie independents are still finding the space to carve their own creative path.

Rob Fantozzi joined the program to discuss the latest in Hollywood, and showcased his own upcoming project – ‘Omerta‘. #featured

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.

Since the start of 2020, U.S. home prices have surged 47% easily outstripping the gains seen in recent decades.

On top of that, home price growth so far this decade is on the verge of surpassing all the growth seen in the 2000s.

Many experts believe this decade’s housing market frenzy was ignited by a perfect storm — the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering an unprecedented rush among buyers.

Tom Hutchens, the Executive Vice President of Production at Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions joins Veronica Dudo to discuss.
