From train delays to cancelled flights – this is life in France at the moment amid widespread protests over the nation’s retirement age

French unions called for a new strike against the pension reform policy at the heart of President Emmanuel Macron’s second term.

But the turnout is significantly lower than the weekend, and this latest round is expected to be less disruptive than on previous occasions.

The Paris metro is working normally and most schools are unaffected.

But a railway worker walkout will impact the country’s high-speed TGV trains and regional services.

Meanwhile, almost a third of flights will likely be cancelled at the second-busiest airport in Paris.
