Instagram has rolled out a new feature – quiet mode
The aim is set to help users focus and set boundaries with friends and followers.
When turned on, all notifications will be paused and the activity status will change to “quiet mode”.
If a user sends a direct message (DM) during this time, Instagram will send an auto-reply advising of this feature being activated.
The social media giant is pitching the tool at teens, to help them study, but it will apply to all users.
The tool will roll out to users in the U.S. and U.K., before more countries follow.
