Israeli officials said the country’s Iron Dome defense system endured a big test from Iran’s attack.

Iran unleashed an attack on Israel, sending more than 300 uncrewed drones and missiles toward targets throughout the country.

The Iranian attack on Israel came more than six months after Hamas terrorists invaded the country.

Since then, the Israeli military has been bombarding the Gaza Strip to root out the terror group.

Israeli officials said the country’s Iron Dome defense system intercepted 99% of the 300 “threats of various types” thrown at it.

President Trump says Iran’s military capability has been largely neutralised, including its navy and air force, as the conflict in the Middle East intensifies. Iranian attacks have threatened commercial air travel and oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of wider economic fallout.
