Online retail giant Amazon has been hit with a lawsuit from U.S. regulators.

 
In a complaint filed in federal court, the Federal Trade Commission is accusing Amazon of underhanded practices to keep customers enrolled in its Prime program.

The FTC Chair says, “Amazon tricked and trapped people into recurring subscriptions without their consent, not only frustrating users but also costing them significant money.”
