US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says he “personally agrees” with Joe Biden’s statement that Putin is committing war crimes

As Russian forces continue to attack civilian areas, Blinken notes the consequences of Putin’s war are being felt right around the world.

Blinken says a team of US experts are now in the process of evaluating the possibility of war crimes in Ukraine, all in an attempt to hold those responsible, accountable.

New reports Ukraine could potentially fight Russia to a standstill, with the situation on the ground now moving slowly.

Russian troops are essentially “frozen around the country”.

US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping will speak over the phone as the White House says it has a “high concern” China might supply Putin with military equipment.

Civilians have been emerging alive from the ruins of a theatre in Mariupol, after Russian forces bombed the shelter.

President Trump says Iran’s military capability has been largely neutralised, including its navy and air force, as the conflict in the Middle East intensifies. Iranian attacks have threatened commercial air travel and oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of wider economic fallout.
