An important AUKUS meeting will set the stage for nuclear-powered submarines.

It comes as Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese heads to India for trade and security talks.

He will then travel to the United States next week for a trilateral meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Reports say the U.K. is set to unveil a nuclear submarines deal with Australia.

U.S. parts and upgrades will be provided for the subs as well.

Supplying Australia with a nuclear-powered sub was the centrepiece for the AUKUS defence pact, announced back in September 2021.

The U.S. and U.K. agreeing to share secret reactor tech in a surprise deal, so Canberra could dump its deal with France.

Rishi Sunak is also expected to unveil a refresh of Britain’s review of defence and foreign policy in the light of the war in Ukraine. #trending #Featured

It action follows criticism from Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr regarding Kimmel’s recent comments.“ABC spokeswoman confirmed the decision on Wednesday,” reported Joe Flint. Several ABC station owners, including Nexstar Media Group, have indicated their intention to drop the show due to Kimmel’s remarks.

Kimmel, known for his criticism of former President Trump, made controversial statements about political reactions to the death of Charlie Kirk during his Monday night show.

He expressed concerns that some were attempting to exploit Kirk’s death for political gain, specifically mentioning Vice President JD Vance and others associated with the ‘MAGA’ movement.

Remarks Controversy

Nexstar’s president, Andrew Alford, commented that Kimmel’s statements were “offensive and insensitive” and do not represent the views of their communities amid current national discussions.
