Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has responded to Elon Musk’s challenge, expressing his readiness to engage in a fight but emphasizing that the scheduled date remains uncertain until officially confirmed.

The dispute between the tech giants began when Musk, the owner of X, proposed a cage match in June, a suggestion met with enthusiasm by Zuckerberg, who has been involved in martial arts training and Jiu Jitsu competitions.

However, despite Zuckerberg suggesting August 26th as a potential date for the bout, the event’s organization has faced setbacks.

Musk recently claimed that the fight would be broadcasted on X and “Meta,” with the spectacle evoking ancient Rome.

However, Italy’s culture minister promptly clarified that the planning had not progressed to the extent Musk suggested, and no event was to be held in Rome.

No agreement

In response, Zuckerberg asserted his lack of awareness regarding the details and noted that any statements from Musk should not be assumed as agreed upon until an official date is set.

Zuckerberg voiced his passion for the sport and his eagerness to compete against Musk since the initial challenge. While Musk anticipates needing several months for recovery from shoulder surgery, the possibility of the fight happening remains uncertain.

Zuckerberg also hinted at the potential for future fighting events, irrespective of Musk’s involvement, aiming to collaborate with professional organizations like the UFC or ONE to create a successful and compelling event.

Greenland’s PM chooses Denmark over U.S. amid Trump’s controversy over Arctic control, emphasizing sovereignty and local sentiment.

Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens‑Frederik Nielsen has delivered a clear message amid renewed pressure from the U.S. — if forced to choose between the United States and Denmark, Greenland will pick Denmark, NATO, and the EU.

Nielsen made the declaration in Copenhagen alongside Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen ahead of diplomatic talks with top U.S. officials.

The announcement comes as U.S. President Donald Trump has again stoked controversy by suggesting Washington could pursue ownership or control of Greenland, citing strategic interests in the Arctic. European leaders and Greenlandic officials have pushed back strongly against these ideas, emphasising sovereignty and respect for international law.

This standoff places Greenland’s future in the spotlight — as Copenhagen and Nuuk reaffirm their ties, local sentiment remains overwhelmingly opposed to U.S. annexation and supportive of Greenland’s own path forward.
