Firefighters are battling a fast-moving wildfire in the Los Angeles hills, with flames threatening celebrity homes and nearby communities.
Fierce Santa Ana winds are fanning the blaze, forcing thousands to flee on foot as blocked roads left cars abandoned.
Over 30,000 residents are under evacuation orders, with more than 13,000 structures at risk, according to LA Fire Chief Kristin Crowley.
California Governor Gavin Newsom reported seeing “many structures already destroyed,” though officials haven’t released exact numbers.
The situation so bad that drivers are fleeing their cars. Wildfires have reached Pacific Palisades, California, where celebrities like Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Jennifer Lopez own homes.
Flames have destroyed several buildings, with footage showing palm trees and hillsides on fire. The fire has grown to over 1,000 acres, forcing some celebrities to evacuate.
