After months of speculation that Qantas would move its renowned Global headquarters to another state in Australia the airline has officially confirmed – they’re staying in Sydney!

A review of the Qantas Property Portfolio was triggered by a $2.7 billion loss for the 2019/2020 financial year.

Those losses due to border closures and other impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Qantas will keep its global headquarters in Sydney and its Jetstar hub in Melbourne after reviewing the cost of its facilities across Australia.

The move is good news for hundreds of employees who feared they may be out of a job if a move was to happen.
