Did a lightning strike delay NASA’s latest moon rocket launch?

NASA is preparing to launch its latest moon rocket, known as the Space Launch System

The SLS is the most powerful vehicle America’s space agency has ever created and forms part of the new ‘Artemis’ project.

NASA has grand plans to put people back on the Moon, for the first time in 50 years.

The spacecraft will fly on a big arc for six weeks before crashing down into the Pacific Ocean.

While this particular mission will be conducted without a crew, the hope is astronauts will be on board for future missions, from 2024.

Despite recent lightning strikes, NASA says everything is ‘good to go’.
