What will the Pope and U.S President Biden discuss in person?

US President Joe Biden and Pope Francis are preparing to meet just days before the long-awaited COP-26 climate event kicks off

Biden is currently under pressure from lawmakers over his conflicted position on abortion rights.

Biden is a devout Roman Catholic who is personally opposed to abortion, but has always said that he cannot let his personal views get in the way of his decision-making as President.

Over the past several months, conservative Catholic media and bishops have all criticised the leader, with some even saying he should be prevented from receiving communion at mass.

Meanwhile, abortion supporters are in disbelief over the recently imposed Texas laws that prevent almost all abortions.

Whilst it is not clear exactly what the two influential leaders will speak about, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki says Biden believes women have the right to choose.
