Hollywood’s video game performers are preparing to strike over concerns related to the increasing use of artificial intelligence in game development and issues surrounding fair pay.

“Although agreements have been reached on many issues important to SAG-AFTRA members, the employers refuse to plainly affirm, in clear and enforceable language, that they will protect all performers covered by this contract in their AI language,” the union said in a statement.

Recently, striking actors took to San Diego Comic-Con to voice their concerns over the threat of AI for voice actors and performers in the video game industry.
