A recent initiative has seen solar systems installed on executive residences and publicly-owned buildings in nations right across the Pacific.

Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands were all part of the green energy pact.

This comes as the United Nations adopts a landmark resolution asking the International Court of Justice to deliver an opinion on the legal consequences countries face for harming the environment.
