Musk enters Guinness World Records for wrong reason

Elon Musk has broken a world record – but maybe not one he’ll be particularly pleased about.

Musk has seen his personal fortune drop by the largest amount in history.

According to Guinness World Records, Musk has seen his personal wealth drop by a staggering $182 billion since November 2021.

That’s a bigger drop than the previous holder of the record, Soft Bank, who lost $85 billion during the Dot Com crash of 2000.

Most of Musk’s loss in personal wealth is put down to Tesla’s stock price crashing from $400 a share to around $120, and his $44 billion purchase of Twitter.
