The 31-year-old musician fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur hotel in the Palermo neighbourhood, according to local police. Authorities say Payne was found in the hotel’s internal courtyard, with paramedics confirming his death shortly after the fall.

The Buenos Aires Security Ministry has confirmed that police were responding to a report of a man acting aggressively, possibly under the influence. Payne’s injuries were severe, including a fracture at the base of his skull, leaving no chance for emergency responders to save him.
