Kellogg’s sees protests over food dyes in popular breakfast cereals, thousands sign petition

Protesters gathered outside Kellogg’s headquarters, demanding the removal of artificial colors from the company’s popular cereals.

Advocacy groups argue that synthetic dyes can pose health risks, especially for children, and are calling on the American company to switch to natural alternatives–which it already does for other countries.

The demonstration is part of a larger movement aimed at encouraging food manufacturers to adopt healthier, cleaner ingredients.

Kellogg has responded by noting its ongoing efforts to evaluate and improve the ingredients in its products.

Vani Hari, an author, activist, and entrepreneur joins Veronica Dudo to discuss.
