Lebanon’s health ministry indicated that the strikes had resulted in 31 fatalities and injured 40 individuals, according to the state news agency NNA.

Among the deceased, 14 were from the town of Burj al-Shamali, including two children and three women.

Some bombing raids struck near the historic Beaufort Castle, noted by UNESCO as a well-preserved medieval site.

Additional strikes occurred near Lebanon’s largest water reservoir located at the Qaraoun Dam in the east of the country.

Escalating conflict
