The government has just pledged $10 billion to address the issue, but will it be enough to fix the problem?
The Australian minor party the Greens have decided to end their Senate blockade of the government’s flagship $10 billion Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) legislation.
This decision comes after intensive negotiations that have resulted in an additional $1 billion being allocated this year for public and community housing.
But is the pledged money enough to address the issue? Or will it just add further to inflation?
