“I think everyone is just stoked to have the race back” – F1 returns to Melbourne

The Australian Grand Prix kicks off this weekend for the first time since 2019 after COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the previous two editions

Hometown hopes rest on the shoulders of Ricciardo, but after starting his season with two finishes outside the top ten he remains an outside chance.  

Despite his rocky start to the season, Ricciardo is looking forward to the atmosphere in Melbourne which he says is “pretty wild”

Reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen is the favourite to take out the main prize in Melbourne, with Bahrain Gran Prix winner Charles Leclerc second with the bookies.  

Earlier this week, 2018 winner Sebastian Vettel said he felt like like he was turning up “late to school” after missing the first two weeks of the season with COVID 19.
