Fast forward to the present, and technology mogul Elon Musk has propelled the evolution further with ventures like Starlink and made adjustments to social media platforms such as ‘X’.

 

Content creator MrBeast has expanded his audience with Youtube streaming and is now exploring extended content formats, emphasising the internet’s continuous evolution, now geared towards gaming, streaming, and innovative partnerships as well as streaming networks for video.

The internet has unleashed a trifecta of challenges. Cybersecurity threats like hacking and identity theft jeopardise personal and financial information, heightening privacy concerns.

 

Concurrently, online harassment and bullying thrive on the internet’s anonymity, causing severe emotional consequences.

 

Additionally, the rapid spread of misinformation online, with false narratives gaining quick traction, poses a significant risk, influencing public opinion and potentially causing harm – So where to from here?
