Four Americans kidnapped in Mexico

They had crossed the border to buy medication

Four Americans were kidnapped from a minivan in Mexico.

They were taken in Matamoros, Mexico, after they crossed the border to buy medication.

Three men and one woman were driving in a white minivan when a group of unidentified gunmen shot at them.

They were then placed in a vehicle and taken away.

The White House is closely following the case. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told media that U.S. law enforcement was in contact with Mexico.

The Mexican government is likely to prioritise finding the U.S. citizens to avoid a major cross-border issue between the two countries.

The place the citizens were kidnapped is considered one of the more dangerous parts of the country, where drug cartels control much of the territory and often hold more power than local law enforcement.

The FBI is seeking help from the public and offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the return of the victims and the arrests of those involved.

American home prices are rising at faster pace now than in the last 20-years.

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.

Since the start of 2020, U.S. home prices have surged 47% easily outstripping the gains seen in recent decades.

On top of that, home price growth so far this decade is on the verge of surpassing all the growth seen in the 2000s.

Many experts believe this decade’s housing market frenzy was ignited by a perfect storm — the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering an unprecedented rush among buyers.

Tom Hutchens, the Executive Vice President of Production at Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions joins Veronica Dudo to discuss.
