An unboxed first-generation iPhone has sold at auction for a $63,356.40

The iPhone sold for more than 100 times the price it was purchased for.

A woman was gifted the iPhone in 2007. However, she did not open it because she was happy with the phone she had at the time.

Bidding for the phone in its original box began at $2,500, with 10 people were vying for it.

Twenty-seven people bid for the phone, which went up on auction on 2 February.
