FBI raids home Putin’s close friend who worked with Trump campaign

FBI is currently conducting an investigation at the home of a prominent Russian, Oleg Deripaska – close friend and ally of Vladimir Putin

The FBI says the activity is linked to an ongoing investigation based out of New York, but no further information has been provided at this time.

At the home in Washington where the FBI is currently based, the driveway has been blocked off and the property labeled as a crime scene.

The individual under investigation was previously sanctioned by the US in 2018 following suspected Russian interference in America’s 2016 presidential election.

At the time, the Treasury Department said he was been investigated for “money laundering, and has been accused of threatening lives”.
