Destructive floods have ravaged the Australian states of New South Wales and Queensland, as residents begin the clean-up

Sydney will likely be hit by further damaging winds today, with gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour already hitting the city.

State Emergency Services responded to 183 jobs in the past 24 hours as weather authorities issue a marine warning for large swells in the region.

While heavy rains have now eased, flood-affected residents are waking up to the prospect of their second cleanup in just a month.
