The 68-year-old missed a key national event to celebrate the flag, emblem and anthem of Belarus

The leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko has reportedly been hospitalised.

It follows the controversial figure struggling during a visit to Moscow, even skipping lunch with Vladimir Putin.

On Sunday, the 68-year-old missed a key national event to celebrate the flag, emblem and anthem of Belarus.

The prime minister was forced to appear on his behalf and read a message of good wishes.

In Russia, Lukashenko looked visibly tired, and his right hand was bandaged.

His office has so far made no comments on the issue.

Often described in the West as Europe’s last dictator, Lukashenko has ruled Belarus since 1994, suppressing any dissent.

He has since kept control even though a contested presidential election in 2020 was followed by mass anti-government protests. #trending #featured

Greenland, Denmark assert Arctic island not for sale, emphasizing cooperation with the US on their own terms.

Greenland and Denmark have used high-level talks in Washington, D.C. to firmly restate that the Arctic island is not for sale, pushing back against long-standing US interest in the strategically vital territory.

Foreign ministers from both Greenland and Denmark acknowledged that major disagreements remain following discussions with US officials, despite what they described as constructive engagement on shared priorities.

Greenland’s government made clear it is open to closer cooperation with Washington, but only on its own terms, rejecting any suggestion of ownership or control.
