Legendary guitarist Jeff Beck has died at the age of 78.

He passed away in hospital on Tuesday following a battle with meningitis.

After forming The Jeff Beck Group in 1967, the guitarist created an alliance of rock royalty.

Indicted into Rock’s Hall of Fame twice, his music career spanned an incredible 50 years.

Beck is considered one of the most influential guitarists of his generation, with his screaming solos earning him the title of “the guitarist’s guitarist”.
