One of Australia’s busiest airports is in chaos today, after a major security breach forced all passengers to be re-screened

All passengers at Terminal 1 at Melbourne Airport are currently being re-screened.

All passengers who had already boarded their plane were forced to evacuate and start from scratch.

Reports suggest there was an error at the screening point.

Some passengers tweeting that someone slipped through the security area without being screened.

Qantas manages the security operations at this terminal but is yet to comment.

Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne is a hub for key transport routes around Australia, with thousands of Aussies passing through every day.
