Did Downing Street break COVID-19 rules?

There are reports that a number of parties and events were held at number 10 Downing Street in the lead-up to Christmas last year when Covid restrictions were of course in full force

Downing Street is the official residence of the British prime minister, and it’s believed Boris Johnson allowed a party to proceed on the 18th of December.

London was in the midst of Tier three restrictions at this date… with millions of residents in lockdown, unable to visit family and friends.

40 staff members of 10 Downing Street allegedly attended the December 18 bash… with the individuals drinking and socialising for a number of hours.

It was just one day after this event when Johnson announced he would not allow Christmas mixing for families amid soaring Covid case numbers.

Downing Street has denied that any rules were broken at this time.
