‘You are next’: JK Rowling sent death threats

Police are investigating online death threats directed towards controversial author, JK Rowling

It follows JK Rowling tweeting support for acclaimed author, Salman Rushdie, following his attack in New York state.

The 57-year-old Harry Potter author has since shared screenshoots of threats she has personally received, with one reading ‘don’t worry, you are next’.

This same Twitter user also posted messages of praise of their account, congratulating the man who assaulted Salman Rushdie.

Rowling has since thanked those who have sent supportive messages and says police are now involved.
