Meta’s Twitter killer apps had massive uptake upon launch, and a design quirk may mean those users stick around
Mark Zuckerberg would certainly hope that the Twitter killer has arrived as Meta launches Threads.
Will it finally knock Twitter off its perch?
The launch comes amid yet another Twitter controversy; this time Elon Musk has gone over his CEO’s head and limited how many tweets users can read per day.
Add that to growing frustration from users around paid services on the app and advertisers fleeing the platform and Twitter is not the platform it once was.
Threads has already gained millions of users in the first few days after launch.
Oliver Caprile from Evolving Digital said that users are unable to delete the app without also deleting your Instagram account.
