Why Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon thinks the U.S. will avoid recession

The U.S. will probably avoid a recession, though inflation will remain sticky for the foreseeable future.

That’s according to Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, who told Reuters that the chances of achieving a soft landing has gone up considerably in the last 12 months.

The banking giant also criticised proposals that would raise capital requirements for larger banks.

But why does Solomon think this, and does more work need to be done?
