From once untouchable giants, now the tech industry has shown it is vulnerable to interest rate rises. That’s impacting how the financial sector is investing

 
Well it’s been a rough few months for the tech sector and now Australia’s Big Four banks are slashing their VC divisions.

Has it really gotten that bad?

The tech bubble is well and truly over. Tech firms that once seemed untouchable have proven shaky against the backdrop of rising interest rates and other headwinds.

This of course has impacted the venture capital industry.

In Australia three of the big four banks are reigning in their VC divisions, pursing instead a more direct investment strategy.
