What is China’s “economic coercion” all about?

The Quad alliance is seeking to “oppose unilateral actions seeking change in status quo by force”

 
The U.S., Australia, India and Japan are part of a group known as the Quad, who keep pledging to keep stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

It’s the strongest sign yet the leaders of some of the largest democracies in the Indo-Pacific region are standing up against China’s growing coercion.

China is the superpower targeted by this language.

As for China, they’re describing the Quad as an Asian version of NATO.

China’s Permanent Representative Zhang Jun told the UN Security Council the Quad is “ganging up in the Asia-Pacific region, creating cliques, and bent on provoking confrontation.”
