Walmart shooter was “long-term employee”

Published

The suspect in a mass shooting at a Virginia Walmart has been identified as 31-year-old Andre Bing

Police say Bing shot and killed six people before turning the gun on himself.

He was a longtime employee at Walmart, having been with the company since 2010.

Coworkers have described Bing as an off-putting manager who feared government surveillance.

Bing is understood to have initially opened fire in the staff break room at around 10.12pm local time (3.12am GMT).

This chilling footage shows him interacting with fellow staff members just moments before he pulled out his gun.

Ex-overnight stocker at the store, James Credle, says the killer introduced him to the Yellow Edition of Red Bull and they would drink it together on shift.

The 19-year-old described Bing as a “major germaphobe” who was almost “always stressed and p***** off”.

“He wrote me up two days in a row and I quit a week later because of him, actually,” he said.

“Nobody really liked him because he could be an a******. He always got me in trouble for little stuff like leaving a pallet in the wrong spot or something stupid and it was all the time.”

Trump claims Iran’s military largely neutralized; tensions rise with attacks threatening air travel and oil shipping.

President Trump says Iran’s military capability has been largely neutralised, including its navy and air force, as the conflict in the Middle East intensifies. Iranian attacks have threatened commercial air travel and oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of wider economic fallout.

The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh has faced two attacks, while Gulf states worked to intercept further Iranian strikes. Officials report six U.S. troops killed and more than 700 deaths inside Iran as the exchange of fire escalates.

With global markets watching closely, the region remains on edge as military and diplomatic tensions show no signs of easing.
