The voice of Ursula in ‘The Little Mermaid’ has died, aged 95

Pat Carroll was a comedic television centre-piece for decades, who is being honoured for her Raucous laugh.

Carroll was born in Louisiana, before re-locating to Los Angeles. Her first role was in the 29-48 classic ‘Hometown Girl’.

She won an Emmy for her work on the comedy series ‘Caesar’s Hour’. She was also a variety show regular on ‘The Danny Kaye Show,’ and ‘The Red Skelton Show’.

But it was her role as Ursula in ‘The Little Mermaid’, which she would often say was one of her favourites.
